Bob Kiwi's Photo Album: Page 35

The kiwis pose in front of Abu Simbel. It was ridiculously hot there - around 35 Degrees Celcius. (Perhaps that is why one of the statues fainted?) At this point in the trip, Bob retreated to the shady safety of numerous small coffee shops scattered throughout our travels.

Later we visited a temple dedicated to Horus, the sky god. Beak took one look at this statue and decided he bore a striking resemblance to said falcon deity, and insisted on a photo.

Beak tries his luck out-staring a small alabaster Sphinx.

Beak contemplates a scuplture of Horus in front of Queen Hatchepsut's mortuary temple, just outside the Valley of Kings.
